Those are the bad guys, right?___epends on who wins, I guess.

What is the likelihood, of winning the lottery, then lose it all the next day when you step out your front door and get struck by lightning? Probably, very slim, but then anything is possible.

Where's the pleasure in bein' the winner if the loser ain't alive to know they've lost?

Time does not heal, but it can liberate. A race run well can never be lost.

The moment you believe you will fail, you have already lost the battle.

A fear of losing, of failure is a fear of success.

Remember, we are all part of a great story that is really about God, not us. He is the number one character (read: winner), and we are all secondary (read: losers).

Today's world is flooded with participation trophies. In an attempt to promote equality we have robbed our youth of the most growth-inducing aspect of competition, failing. If you want to be resurrected, you have to first be crucified. Everybody wants to be reborn, but no one is willing to die. Losing, in the context of whatever arena it may be, is a microcosmic death. When we learn from our failures and grow because of them, we are reborn.

So when my cards are side of... I'm losing I need to suicide??

You crave winning and fear losing instead of just doing. To succeed you must remove your self-imposed limitations.

No matter how many losing seasons you might have had in the past with your marriage, the good thing is that all teams get a fresh start once September begins

As Paulsen says, "It is vanity that desires first of all to be seen and admired, and then, if possible, really to be something; whereas proper self esteem desires first of all to be something, and' then, if possible, to have its worth recognized.

I lose part of myself that day and I don't want to lose even more.

Maybe that was one of the problems with these men who lived forever, they'd built up an immunity or resistance to affection. Perhaps because when everyone they knew and loved continued to die, they realized the value of distance, of not losing one's self completely to love.

Winning and losing is not an external game. It is an internal battle over telling yourself the truth vs. lies regarding why you haven__ stepped into the life you dreamed of.
