In small towns, news travels at the speed of boredom.

There is no rural life in a countryman__ dream and there is no city life in a townsman__ dream! We often dream of the other shores, not our own shore!

Energy is neither created nor destroyed. It just changes shape.

It is my belief, Watson, founded upon my experience, that the lowest and vilest alleys in London do not present a more dreadful record of sin than does the smiling and beautiful countryside.
