There is more than one road to spiritual salvation. We discover a philosophical way of living by encountering the world, culling knowledge from all available resources, and thinking reverently about life.

Well, it's a good life and a good world, all said and done, if you don't weaken.

If you meditate, you shall nourish your mind.

Your actions should reflect what you feel your life should reflect. All action should be to better your life. Your life is your actions, not your inaction. It is not what you say you will do or what others think of what you are doing. It is all the positive and negative things you have done in your life. Act positively for a positive life.

Jealousy is when their reflection in the mirror that is your progress, is attacked rather than appreciated, begrudged rather than understood.

What do you think has become of the young and old men? And what do you think has become of the women and children? Comedy is a reflection. We create nothing. We set no styles, no standards. We're reflections. It's a distorted mirror in the fun house. We watch society. As society behaves, then we have the ability to make fun of it.

Our laws are a reflection of our culture. Our culture does not condone the torture of innocent and defenseless creatures. And we as a society believe all God's creatures should be treated humanely.

My role in society, or any artist's or poet's role, is to try and express what we all feel. Not to tell people how to feel. Not as a preacher, not as a leader, but as a reflection of us all.

Whether at work, at home or in public, we have been trained to believe that who we are at the core of our being is often unacceptable. As a result, we work diligently to live up to - and sometimes down to - what others have made us out to be, whether or not it is an accurate reflection of who we are.

Pop culture is a reflection of social change, not a cause of social change.
