My mother once told me that holding on to the past is like walking around with a pebble in your shoe. You can still keep walking, keep moving forward, but that pebble is always there nagging at you, begging for your attention. After a while, that pebble is all you can feel. Sometimes, you just have to stop walking for a minute and get rid of it once and for all.

When we can return to the roads of our past and see nothing but the beautiful view, then we've truly moved on.

There's this quote - "if there's anything I have learnt about life is that IT MOVES ON"let me tell you, these three words are only first half of the story. The other half is these five words - "YOU HAVE TO LET GO"If you continue to cling to your past, how will your life Ever move on. Some effort is required from your end too.

Sometimes, I think one should only live in the present. The past is only a heavy burden to carry with you. And yet_ it__ so hard to let them go_ to forget_ to move ahead_

Looking back now, I would say that this was one of the first valuable lessons I learned, and one that would be useful in my future line of work. Sometimes things go wrong. It is inevitable. But it is a mistake to waste time and energy worrying about events that you cannot influence. Once they have happened, let them go.

Moving on should be a required high school classbecause Lynchburg is determined to make me forget.

In the figurative sense, this is a border that is always moving-- as you advance forward in your studies and realizations, that mysterious forest of the unknown always stays a few feet ahead of you, so you have to travel light in order to keep following it. You have to stay mobile, movable, supple.
