Being an atheist means you have to realise that when you die, that really is it. You've got to make the most of what you've got here and spread as much influence as you can. I believe that you only live through the influence that you spread, whether that means having a kid or making music....I don't believe in heaven or hell, I don't really believe in that version.

There comes a time in your life when you have to choose between giving up and staying strong, when situations will try to predict your fate, when friends will depart from you and your echo will be your only companion. When that time comes, remember just why you fought so hard to get to where you are. What is life that it should threaten your faith and who is man that you should clinch onto for happiness? You have a destination. Remember this!

It does wonders for my own psyche to turn envy into inspiration. No matter how successful we become, we're never above that.

To understand God we must understand ourselves. If I give you an apple and ask you, __hat is that?_ you reply, __n apple.___ow do you know it__ an apple?___ecause it just is.___ow did it get to be an apple?___t came from an apple.___xactly. So when I ask you, __hat are you?_ you can honestly say, __ am a child of God because I came from God.

Time spent doing whatever it is you do to escape your daily life would be better spent acquiring a life that needs no escape.
