Love is stronger than both fear and hope - if you can love the natural beauty around you, the amazing gifts and skills we have, the fact that you are alive to experience life, each moment that you have, and love yourself and those around you just as they are, then there is no need to be owned by fear, or even hope, you just live the best you can, being the truth of that love that you are being, representing the stream of consciousness experiencing itself, always knowing that you will someday return to it again, and flow as part of it infinitely on.

I believe that half the trouble in the world comes from people asking 'What have I achieved?' rather than 'What have I enjoyed?' I've been writing about a subject I love as long as I can remember--horses and the people associated with them, anyplace, anywhere, anytime. I couldn't be happier knowing that young people are reading my books. But even more important to me is that I've enjoyed so much the writing of them.

Some people think they can find satisfaction in good food, fine clothes, lively music, and sexual pleasure. However, when they have all these things, they are not satisfied. They realize happiness is not simply having their material needs met. Thus, society has set up a system of rewards that go beyond material goods. These include titles, social recognition, status, and political power, all wrapped up in a package called self-fulfillment. Attracted by these prizes and goaded on by social pressure, people spend their short lives tiring body and mind to chase after these goals. Perhaps this gives them the feeling that they have achieved something in their lives, but in reality they have sacrificed a lot in life. They can no longer see, hear, act, feel, or think from their hearts. Everything they do is dictated by whether it can get them social gains. In the end, they've spent their lives following other people's demands and never lived a life of their own. How different is this from the life of a slave or a prisoner?

Be what you are. Do what you love. Speak what you feel. Don__ hide your humanity. Celebrate it. Embrace it.That is how you change the world.

Who will you love if not yourself? Other people? How can you love someone for anything but their raw, naked humanity? How can you say you love someone if it is not for their flaws and quirks, snorts and hurts, triggers and tears? Anything else is not love. It is idealization. And, as long as you do it to yourself, you will do it to everyone. You will not love anyone or anything until those eyes in the mirror soften up and embrace the beauty that is already within.

Who was I fooling, telling my heart to quiet its beautiful song so I could march in the parade of conformity? My biggest fool was me.

The closer you come to your authentic self, the simpler everything becomes. Listen to your intuition. It will tell you who you are.

We try so hard to make ourselves lovable, and yet each layer of this mask puts another wall around us _ a wall that keeps love out.

Be unapologetically you.....Don't apologize for who you are or what you are. Just be YOU and those that matter will be drawn to you and those that aren't will not matter.

Be real. Be authentic. Be yourself, whatever the emotional cost. Pain goes away, while regret over a life lived trying to be a plastic version of yourself does not.

Always be you! Just never think you can always be you without consequence.

When you feel as if you should conform and be like everyone else....Remember that you were born to stand out and be your uniquely beautiful and talented self.

You__l never know who you are unless you shed who you pretend to be.

And I wasn__ playing a role _ I was trying to be myself.But the harder I was striving, the more I was realizing that I had probably lost that __yself_ somewhere between two perfectly performed roles...

Wake-up! Think for yourself, be yourself and return to what is real.

What did the Romans say? __e gustibus non est disputandum_: It is worthless to discuss personal taste. It is called 'personal' for a reason.

There was no guarantee of victory if I remained the same or just tried to be myself, but there was certain defeat in pretending to be something I was not.
