That's for the best. Otherwise they might realize they're in prison. It can't be helped. You women are used to harems and prisons. A person can spend his whole life between four walls. If he doesn't think or feel that he's a prisoner, then he's not a prisoner. But then there are people for whom the whole planet is a prison, who see the infinite expanse of the universe, the millions of stars and galaxies that remain forever inaccessible to them. And that awareness makes them the greatest prisoners of time and space.

The Universe is always delivering to us what we need for a spiritual awakening.

Deep inside of you is a 'Guru' with the wisdom of the entire Universe!

Maybe when we face a tragedy, someone, somewhere is preventing a bigger tragedy from happening.

My favourite conversations are those with the universe, I speak all that I am and the most beautiful response flies a shooting star across the sky, it's proof ~ vibrations of light have the capacity to change our world.

A negative outlook is dangerous. When you say, __t can__ get any worse!_ You're essentially challenging the universe to do exactly that.

Making a difference is a point of view. For a universe, you can be a simple individual. But for some individual, you can transform "your universe".

CARL SAGAN SAID that if you want to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe. When he says __rom scratch,_ he means fromnothing. He means from a time before the world even existed. If you want to make an apple pie from nothing at all, you have to start with the Big Bang and expanding universes, neutrons, ions, atoms, black holes, suns, moons, ocean tides, the Milky Way, Earth, evolution, dinosaurs, extinction- level events, platypuses,Homo erectus, Cro- Magnon man, etc. You have to start at the beginning. You must invent fire. You need water and fertile soil and seeds. You need cows and people to milk them and more people to churn that milk into butter. You need wheat and sugar cane and apple trees. You need chemistry and biology. For a really good apple pie, you need the arts. For an apple pie that can last for generations, you need the printing press and the Industrial Revolution and maybe even a poem.To make a thing as simple as an apple pie, you have to create the whole wide world.

THEY WILL TRY TO TELL YOU THAT YOU__E MADE UP OF ATOMS AND MOLECULES.THEY DON__ KNOW A DAMN THING ABOUT YOU. YOU__E MADE UP OF POETRY, LOVE AND SOLACE AND ALL THOSE BEAUTIFUL LONELY THINGS THAT MAKE THIS WHOLE UNIVERSE.

The sea in all its vastness is its own, real world. Man is nature's sci-fi.

When I see the moon on a clear night, I do say "blessed be" and I remind myself to be grateful to the universe that I happen to exist in such a lovely and wondrous world, even and especially as I can rattle on about magma cooling, abiogenesis, and natural selection.

It's immeasurably easier to live in a world that's all surfaces, that means nothing and demands nothing of you.

This is God's universe and he is the master gardener of all. If we were to eliminate all colors in his garden,then what would be a rainbow with only one color? Or a garden with only one kind of flower? Why would the Creator create a vast assortment of plants, ethnicities, and animals, if only one beast or seed is to dominate all of existence?

The answer must be, I think, that the beauty and grace are performed whether or not we will or sense them. The least we can do is try to be there.

Some people think they can just decree that everything will be fine. The world doesn__ work like that. I__ not sure the world gives a crap about anyone__ promises, well-meaning or otherwise. Sometimes the Universe just takes what it wants.
