Life is a sacred shared-life.

The air was filled with phantoms... and... the misery with them all was, clearly, that they sought to interfere, for good, in human matters, and had lost the power forever.

Often the best gifts we can give each other cost nothing.

This woman did not know me, but she knew this stretch of trail. She didn't know if I was kind or mean, gentle or abrasive, honest or a liar. She didn't need to know what I had accomplished in life or what I had wasted. She just knew that if I was there in her hospital on my birthday, I was probably feeling a little lost. On that basis alone, i mattered to her.

Even the smallest act of service, the simplest act of kindness, is a way to honor those we lost; a way to reclaim that spirit of unity that followed 9/11.

So you want to improve the world? Then do it. To the next person who crosses your path, say something kind, do something generous, perform a simple act of service. By doing this on a regular basis, you will indeed improve the world.

I know most people want others to have good lives, and, when they understand the situation, they will do what they can to steer the world back toward kindness. This is when human beings, I believe, are most admirable.

Purpose driven attitude of service is the driving force for daring success.

It is not what you leave to your children that matters, but what you leave in them.

It is not the number of prayers that will give you happiness, but the number you answer for another person.

The fearful seek to serve themselves by mastering the world, while the fearless seek to serve the world by mastering themselves.

If ye realize the Emptiness of All Things, Compassion will raise within your heart;If ye lose all differentiation between yourselves and others, fit to serve others ye will be;And when in serving others ye shall win success, then shall ye meet with me;And finding me, ye shall attain to Buddhahood.

Before you call yourself a Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu or any other theology, learn to be human first.

And in blessing himI was blessed,And in comforting himI was comforted_

Nowhere in the bible did it say, __nly show compassion and empathy to those you can trust._ If we did that, we would be burying homeless people every day.

If you__e treating people poorly then you're not emulating God__ love. God always resides with the broken hearted.

All work done with love is healing work.

By serving humanity, I automatically serve myself.
