Being a monk was the strangest and most perverted way of life imaginable. Monks spent half their lives putting themselves through pain and discomfort that they could easily avoid, and the other half muttering meaningless mumbo jumbo in empty churches at all hours of the day and night. They deliberately shunned anything good__irls, sports, feasting and family life.

As a Buddhist, I see no distinction between religious practice and daily life. Religious practice is a twenty-four hour occupation.

Every country has a cultural legacy and religious practices for reasons that I don__ believe fall under the category of superstition, something that a religious scholar should understand.
