That kind of inability to improve is really very rare. That kind of consistency is miraculous, in a way.

Improve & improvise because this time it was the wind, next time it could be rain, hailstones or sand storms.

The hero is the one who goes beyond his ability to improve his skills, until he becomes able to improve, and perhaps even alter, the skills of others.

Embrace iteration as the road to improvement, but don't let that lull you into rolling out poorly-thought-out crap.
