follow-through

Emma has been meaning to read more ever since she was twelve years old. I have seen a great many lists of her drawingup at various times of books that she meant to read regularly through__nd very good lists they were__ery well chosen, and very neatly arranged__ometimes alphabetically, and sometimes by some other rule. The list she drew up when only fourteen__ remember thinking it did her judgment so much credit, that I preserved it some time; and I dare say she may have made out a very good list now. But I have done with expecting any course of steady reading from Emma. She will never submit to any thing requiring industry and patience, and a subjection of the fancy to the understanding.

We love being mentally strong, but we hate situations that allow us to put our mental strength to good use.

The sole purpose of knowledge is to create hunger for experience.

All the time and effort put into networking can be all for naught if there is no follow-through. The same goes for sales. And leadership. And _ well, everything.

Follow through. You__ be surprised how many people don__ do that. If you have to stay up all night to get it done,n then do that. If you consistently see that you cannot actually get things done in the time frame you committed to, stop over committing.

The Muse honors the working stiff.

If you don__ understand something clearly that you are being taught_speak up.If you feel something is confusing or you are unsure of exactly what to do_ask about it.If you need clarification or something repeated to make sure you got it_request it.If you feel lost, forgot something, or feel like you are falling behind_bring it up.Nodding your head, saying __eah, yeah_ and pretending to know things you don__ is right up there with one of the worst things you can do when you hire some one to help you and your career.
