I have many dead people who talk to me, whisper advice into my ears in the finest of moments. I take their advice in the moments where life shouldn't allow you to make your own business. This is one of those moments. The dead whisperer, Eleanor Roosevelt. The advice, "Do one thing every day that scares you." Here goes!

The irony of what we define as a mistake can and will sometimes return to you as a redefined destiny that life sends your way without any of your own free will and choice in what happens. It just happens. Something in me changed in that one tell-tale moment. And for some strange reason, I knew there wasn__ a way of going back.

In a world where PG 13 means kinda-sorta-depends on your level of morals, I don__ wish to loosen our kids_ morals just because some adults choose to say, __hey are going to see it anyway._ If we don__ show them that integrity is something you should always have in the back of your mind, then we__e given up on them.

I never quite understood the question that says, is the glass half empty or half full? What__ the difference? Eventually it__l end up empty and in the trash.

Patience will be on our side._ __ once heard that patience is a vulture in wait to take out its prey when all seems safe.

My friend Wicker once said to be careful what and how you say what you__e really thinking to a woman. After much screwing up in that department with Emma, I__e learned it__ not what you should hide, but what you say that makes her react the way she does. If I am unable to make myself clear, as I so often do, it__ more likely going to go to pot if I try to explain how I really feel. Instead, I rework in my brain what she needs to hear. I don__ always nail it, but I__ getting better at it. And it__ always the truth even if it isn__ how I see it.Is it deceiving? No. It__ being considerate and aware that she is an emotional creature, and that for some crazy reason, craves my attention. I love to make her happy. My jumbled up mess of a mind isn__ important in the long run if it just confuses her. So I chose words carefully. When something goes right, I use it over and over again. -Ames

Human, witch, goblin, or whatever, a kiss is what is it is created from. Every moment, every heartache, every breath of fear and passion and longing was all wound up in this one kiss. It was more feeling than any word could express.

I understand that you want __ormal_ by what you define it, but normal is what you make it. You could spend a lifetime in the house you grew up in and never once feel normal.

Whatever hypnotizing charms I may have over boys, did not in fact work on three hundred pound girl elves. Not that I would ever try it again.

Sometimes being vulnerable as a child is not knowing what lies ahead. We think our choices will make a huge difference in our lives because our parents and other elders spend so much time making sure we think before we act and make our minds up about what we want to be __hen we grow up_. Some are already at that stage early on, some are not. We learn the ways of the world all in good time, but being vulnerable is to be human. We never stop.
