Dream lofty dreams and as you dream so shall you become. Your vision is the promise of what you shall at last unveil.

Leaders are visionaries with a poorly developed sense of fear and no concept of the odds against them. They make the impossible happen.

Is life so wretched? Isn't it rather your hands which are too small your vision which is muddled? You are the one who must grow up.

Design is, literally, purposeful planning. Graphic Design, then, is the form those plans will take.

Simplify? Let me try. In school days, we are taught that if there are four animals in a room and you add two more, the total will be six. That is logic. But behind this logic, there are underlying assumptions. Now, if somebody tells you, there are four rats in the room and if you add two more cats in the room, how many animals in total exist in the room now? The answer will depend upon assumption. If you just use your mathematical brain, you will say six animals. If you use your human brain, you will say two animals. Why two animals? Because the two cats will eat the four rats in no time.

Reading off a page is like looking down at a landscape from a balloon _ your eye "sees" the story as well as reads it, its layout, its paragraphs and structure, and "remembers" what it just read because it's still there, on the page, simultaneously. If you want to, you can reread any line instantly; or linger; or speed up; or optically "flinch." Reading a series of tweets is more like looking through a narrow window from a train speeding through a landscape full of tunnels and bands of light and dark. Each tweet erases its predecessor.

We've been given the power to have what we visualize, but we tend to visualize what we already have.

I visualize myself winning the Olympic Pentathlon, inventing a phone that can be controlled by brain waves, or doing the laundry. I do not actually DO these things, but I see myself doing them, and that is almost MORE satisfying, because I am also lying down.

If the statistics are boring, then you've got the wrong numbers.

The grain-fields went up the hillsides. Now as we went higher there was a wind blowing the grain.

The complexity of a subject, if crucial for understanding the story, needs to be shown in the visualisation. Thus, in many cases, clarifying a subject requires increasing the amount of information, not reducing it.
