thankfulness

Thanksgiving is not some formulaic action based on a tedious ledger that neatly tallies everything I have received so I can determine if being thankful is warranted or not. Rather, it__ appreciating the fact that I have already received the privilege of living life which in and of itself will fill the whole of my ledger for the whole of my life.

Because thankfulness is the tonic that always cures the cancers of greed, envy and jealously, it should be taken in liberal doses daily.

Ingratitude produces pride while gratitude produces humility.

I didn__ thank God. Doctor Carter, do you think everything happened the way it did because I forgot to thank God? Do you think that God might somehow be as petty as I am?

With all respect to your religion or world-view _ thank God, thank the universe, thank evolutionary processes _ the keyword is "thank" _ just have some gratitude and be thankful.

Everything that I hold will eventually be gone. Subsequently, the quality of my life will depend on whether I choose to appreciate those things __ow_ or wait until __hen.

Starting over begins when I develop a reawakened appreciation for what I already have, a renewed recognition of what I__e recklessly forsaken, a rehabilitated understanding that I foolishly do both of those things, and a revitalized commitment to live the rest of my life never doing either of them again.

Be savagely thankful, and continuously in awe of the power you possess. You are alive. Inside of an endless cosmos with the freedom that shines brightest in the dark.. Choices. Your choices belong to you so intimately, that they will never leave you. They, unlike the changing nature of love, where the failing machinery of our bodies will never abandon you to time. Good or bad, they will stay always. An antique that shows the future who you were and what you stood for. So know that what you choose to stand for, is what will inform you of what you've chosen to stand against, so stand. Let each foot crash land into what you believe, and plant them they're firmly so they may take root in your convictions. And stand.

Success corrupts character when a person loses the spirit of thankfulness.

Be grateful for who you are and what you will be.

The more grateful you are, the more your life overflow with abundance.

Cultivating an attitude of gratitude begins with counting your blessings. In simpler terms, gratitude is expressing thanks for gifts we receive. Genuine gratitude helps us to see the little things in life that are often overlooked, yet so precious.

Focus on your daily blessings, future opportunities and possibilities, and never allow your challenges, struggles, and obstacles to interfere with your peace of mind. You owe abundant happiness and success to your inner-self.

Positive thought + positive action = positive results.

Saying "thank you" signifies sense of gratitude, but it also implies your incapability.

It is very sad that most of us just aren__ grateful for what we have. If you__e reading this, I think it__ safe to assume that you__e not homeless. You__e not blind. You might be ill, but you__e still alive. And yet, we find it hard to be thankful. To see the gift each day brings us. It is from this lack of true gratitude that we become sad. We have told ourselves over and over that we aren__ happy. That our lives aren__ good. That we__e no good.
