If I could give you information of my life it would be to show how a woman of very ordinary ability has been led by God in strange and unaccustomed paths to do in His service what He has done in her. And if I could tell you all, you would see how God has done all, and I nothing. I have worked hard, very hard, that is all; and I have never refused God anything.

For all works and things, which are either commanded or forbidden by God and thus have been instituted by the supreme Majesty, are 'musts.' Nevertheless, no one should be dragged to them or away from them by the hair, for I can drive no man to heaven or beat him into it with a club.

So many people think that they are not gifted because they don__ have an obvious talent that people can recognize because it doesn__ fall under the creative arts category__riting, dancing, music, acting, art or singing. Sadly, they let their real talents go undeveloped, while they chase after fame. I am grateful for the people with obscure unremarked talents because they make our lives easier---inventors, organizers, planners, peacemakers, communicators, activists, scientists, and so forth. However, there is one gift that trumps all other talents__eing an excellent parent. If you can successfully raise a child in this day in age to have integrity then you have left a legacy that future generations will benefit from.

Keep a clear eye toward life's end. Do not forget your purpose and destiny as God's creature. What you are in his sight is what you are and nothing more. Remember that when you leave this earth, you can take nothing that you have received...but only what you have given; a full heart enriched by honest service, love, sacrifice, and courage.

Our children serve as the greatest reminder that kindness is the greatest service.

I cannot choose but adhere to the word of God, which has possession of my conscience; nor can I possibly, nor will I even make any recantation, since it is neither safe nor honest to act contrary to conscience! Here I stand; I cannot do otherwise, so help me God! Amen.

The spirit of volunteerism is the spirit of service.

Our soul longs to be of service in some way. It's why we are here. If you weren't meant to touch the world in some way, you wouldn't be here.What act of service calls to you? Even the smallest thing has an effect in eternity.

I never wanted to be a God fearing person. I wanted to grow up and be a person that was fearless for God. There was a difference.

We forget that the sweetest joys are found in the simplest acts: hugs, laughter, quiet observation, basic movements, holding hands, pleasant music, shared stories, a listening ear, an unhurried visit, and selfless service. It is sad we forget a truth so elementary.

All I__ saying is that I want you to be happy. I don__ care how it happens, or what it takes to facilitate it. I don__ care if it happens with me or without me. I don__ care if you use me to get there, or if I__ entirely irrelevant to your process. None of me is attached to how your happiness happens; I care only that it does.

Service to the humanity is the source of joy and happiness. It is the rent you pay for living on this beautiful planet.

Service is joy, service is happiness.

In lifting another person, we also lift ourselves.

Happiness is when you fight for souls that barely hang on.
