I believe life is an education meant to teach us the need to be better people. _And I believe this learning often takes place through trial and error which may mean being an awful person at times before clearly seeing and grasping the necessity to improve. If you don't agree with me, just ask Mr. Ebenezer Scrooge. _I think Charles Dickens got it quite right.

Win or lose, good or bad, the experience will change you.

Life's lessons aren't always new. Often they're the same old worn-out truths offering us greater depths of wisdom and understanding.

Curiosity killed the cat, but not before teaching her that honey bees are not sweet, tweeting birds are slow to react, mice can serve as both toys and food, big dogs like to snuggle, falling isn__ flying, cream drips from lazy cows, water should be avoided at all costs, baths don__ require getting wet, kindness and cruelty often fall from the same hand, and engines remain comfortably warm long after the motor dies.

Flames burn so long as they are fed. Rivers rage so long as it rains. The sun rises so long as the earth rotates. Prayers are answered so long as they are uttered.Hope exists so long as there is a new day. Miracles never cease so long as there is faith. Love endures so long as kindness rules all actions. Dreams thrive so long as they are pursued. Never give up so long as you live.

Pray for good.Pray for happy.And always pray for Mom.

Some parts of life are lived in the shadows where the only sunlight you feel is the light you pray for.

I sat in a boxWith walls on each side.Not too tall.Not too wide.To think.To ponder.To pray.To hide.I sat in a box and cried.

If every day you were to walk past the same individual and ignore him, never smiling or saying hello or returning any kind gesture he extended toward you, would you expect that same individual to readily respond if suddenly you were to implore his helping hand? Then don__ ignore God. Say __ello_ now and then.

Pray as if you are fully aware that the intricate timing and rotation of every celestial entity in the universe__ncluding the coming and going of innumerable, precious life forms__oes not rest in your tiny, mortal hands.

Discouragement, fear, and depression__hree villains who lurk in the dark.They slip inside souls with a blindfold and goals to shatter your dreams and extinguish your spark.Their tactics are highly effective.They crush a great many each day.And under their spell it is easy to dwellOn fiascoes and failures that end in dismay.The heart and the mind are left heavy.The last speck of will is erased.And nothing stays on when these villains are gonebut a mouthful of bile with the bitterest taste.Alas! You must conquer the scoundrels!Elude, dodge, and keep them at bay!To feel fear slink in, boring under your skin,is a sign that his brothers are well on their way.So reach for your weapons against them!Take hope and hard work in each hand!Strap faith on your hips and a prayer on your lipsand show those debasers how firmly you stand!Discouragement, fear and depression__he truth should be known of these cads.They__e empty and weak; it is your strength they seek.Deny them and life is your wish in the bag.

Sorrow on another's face often looks like coldness, bitterness, resentment, unfriendliness, apathy, disdain, or disinterest when it is in truth purely sadness.

The further you descend into a pit, the darker things appear. You can't keep digging to find the light.

Sometimes giving up feels like the easiest thing to do. But then the easiest thing has never produced more than a garden full of weeds.

In someone's darkest hour your simple act of kindness may imitate the sunrise, and to sad eyes you become their only source of light.

Even among familiar faces, people often feel invisible and desolate, like an island in cold waters or a shadow apart from the crowd. Be the reason another never feels alone.

It is a fact that one man can be deliriously happy in the exact situation that causes another man to wither from depression.

If you often feel alone, ignored, or forgotten, think about this: closing the door and locking yourself in won't change anything__iterally and figuratively.
