Rather than swallowing our pride and simply asking what we do not know, we choose to fill in the blanks ourselves and later become humbled. Wisdom was often, in its youth, proven foolish, and ones humiliated were meant to become wise.

Hence, since he is not responsible for the fellow he observes, the hurt to his pride is cushioned__ll the moreso because the flashlight of his pride is focused on his faculty for keen observations.

Creativity is the highest form of intelligence. Over time, after developing a more advanced creative brain, I started feeling that my college education was more so something to be ashamed of rather than something to be proud of.

Absence of Kashays (anger-pride-deceit-greed) is indeed bliss.

When does one become free from all tubers (of the mind)? When one becomes free of kashayas (anger-pride-deceit-greed). Kashays (anger-pride-deceit-greed) are tubers themselves.

Complete departure of kashay (anger-pride-deceit-greed) is Moksha (Liberation). At first, there is the departure of kashays and then there will be __hat_ [Liberation].

Whatever activity one sees in this world, it is discharge of previously charged karma. Man has nothing to do with it. He only does egoism here of, __ did samayik (introspective meditation)._ He creates a karmic account! He becomes entrapped! He takes enjoyment from tasting sweetness of subtle pride of doer-ship.

Egoism [Ahamkar: Aham=I; kar=did] means __ did_. Where one is not the doer and he says, __ did_; that is egoism. To do egoism and to walk around with an inflated chest is pride (maan) and then to go on telling others __ did it myself_, is known as pride with my-ness (abhiman).

If a person does five samayiks (introspective meditation) he will say, __ did five_- and this is how he will taste the sweetness of the subtle-pride of doership. Actually what he should say is, __t was due to God__ grace that I was able to do five samayik_. He should not taste the sweetness of subtle pride of doership.

There is no problem to relish pride when people praises you but at the same time, one must also be of the opinion that __his should not be so_.

Your pride will be uprooted when a person who insults you appears to be your benefactor. The person who insults should be considered a benefactor, instead people get depressed when they are insulted.

Arrogant pride (abhimaan) means public display of self-pride (maan).

Self-serving-pride (swamaan) means to take precaution against being insulted.

As long as man has pride, he will appear unattractive and no one will be attracted to him. He may have a handsome face, his pride makes him unattractive.

A person with a large tuber of self-pride remains engrossed in the fear of, __omeone is going to insult me_someone is going to insult me_ or __rom where can I get respect? From where can I get the respect?

Awareness_ will not arise where there is deceit along with self-pride (maan). If there is deceit with self-pride, then one can never see the self-pride.
