listening

_when you lonely is the best time to pray, to speak to the Lord, and most important, to listen to the Lord_

Prayer is actually setting out a tuning fork. All you can really do in the spiritual life is to get tuned to receive the always present message. Once you are tuned, you will receive, and it as nothing do to with worthiness or the group you belong to but only the inner resonance and a capacity for mutuality. The Sender is absolutely and always present and broadcasting; the only change is with the receiver station.

There was a patient who sat with her family in a circle around her, all holding hands. Sister Philomena asked if they would like to join her for prayers and they said yes, they would. They closed their eyes as Sister Philomena whispered the words and I thought this must be the nearest humans get to whatever God is, when they hold hands and listen.

Ricky just listens. He isn't shocked. He isn't surprised. He listens to me because he knows. He knows the shame and the guilt and the sorrow and the rage. And he does not judge me. He just listens.

It takes a great man to be a good listener.

Silence made space for other people's words, which was important for those who needed to be listened to.

Focus your attention on the quality of your words, and not the quantity, because few sensible talks attracts millions of listeners more than a thousand gibberish.

Other people feel love when we listen without judging and accept them without demanding change. We all desperately require these basic needs. When we can do this for another, we are indeed that person__ angel.

Listen to your own intuit. Have stronger wisdom to judge your own belief and things that you desire to do NOT what others want you to do.

In the past, I have all too often listened without hearing, asking questions when I had no intention of hearing the answer or understand my customer__ requirements.

Tell your good news as an evangelist would. Do so with a passion driven by a need to help and solve problems that some people didn__ even know they had.

Communication is really a two-way process with listenining being as important as speaking. Enhancing one's listening skills is therefore as important as enhancing one's speaking skills.

You listen like an amateur and fool yourself into believing it is enough when it is not.
