Dare to try again when you failure.

God grant me the strength to endure all things.

Accept things that will make you happy. This is the joy of sacred existence.

Expectations led to disappointments; in this family, expecting more than disappointment was the first mistake

Unconditional love should not be presumed to be without ardent expectations as also the inevitable disappointment.

We are happy when people/things conform and unhappy when they don't. People and events don't disappoint us, our models of reality do. It is my model of reality that determines my happiness or disappointments.

No person, collection of people, institution, government or organization of any kind can in any way promise to meet all of my needs for no person, collection of people, institution, government or organization possesses the array of resources necessary to do that. And so, I am left with the reality that either there is a God who can meet all of my needs, or I__e been stranded in an existence that created me with needs that the existence itself cannot meet.

But there were worse things than disappointment, and I'd lived through several of them already.

Disappointment is a blessing. If you were never disappointed, you'd never know what was important to you.

How could I possibly NOT be disappointed by what I would find? Nothing had ever met my expectation, since nothing could compete with my doctoring imagination, my pathetic compulsion to make the world quanter, funnier, kinder, and more mysterious than it actually was.
