It was hard not to realize what kind of kid his parents wished they'd had, and when he thought about that kind of kid it was tempting for Paul to want to track, hunt, and eat the little thing.

Children do not always appreciate their parents encouraging them to explore and grow. The selfishness of a child manifests itself in his or her intent to remain a child and never enter an adult world of distress, disappointment, and jadedly surrendering an envisioned life by making commitments that limit boundless options.

Sometimes parents don't find what they're looking for it their child, so they plant seeds for what they'd like to grow there instead. I've witnessed this with the former hockey player who takes his son out to skate before he can even walk. Or in the mother who gave up her ballet dreams when she married, but now scrapes her daughter's hair into a bun and watched from the wings of the stage. We are not, as you'd expect, orchestrating their lives; we are not even trying for a second chance. We are hoping that if this one thing takes root, it might take up enough light and space to keep something else from developing in our children: the disappointment we've already lived.

Our infinitesimal hopes should survive longer than our vast disappointments

Be happy but when sad times come, know that God allow these time for self-realisation.

In the arena of life, so many lessons are taught but few are taken and few are applied

I am often guilty of expecting the worst so as to avoid disappointment and welcome surprise.

Disappointment, fear, grief, unlove, dullness and guilt are the worst feelings. Learn from them so that you move on. Then replace them with more satisfying and promising joy, love gratitude, pride, confidence, direction.

Abundant living is realizing that life is a privilege whether it__ adhering to our scripts or not.

We must discover our own path to joy and a sense of leading a purposeful existence. I spent the first part of life attempting to discern what a man ought to be, and spent the latter years attempting to reconcile why I was not the man whom I always aspired to be. A person endures a tragic consumption of the spirit when they discover that they are not what they desired to become.

When this world totally fails, the ground for joy remains.

I am not so sure I should like the facts of life, but I have got over the bitter disappointment I felt when I first heard about them,...

No matter what you are dealing with in life, be it resentment or regret, bitterness or sadness, anger or apathy, hatred or hesitation, depression or disempowerment, disappointment or other destructive anxieties, painful envy or emotional turmoil, fear of isolation or thoughts of failure, keep in mind that if you are positive, positivity will find you and embrace you!

Every successful person had experience failure but they overcome with courage and adamant hope

Challenges are part of life. Overcoming them makes you a stronger person.

You will conquer every mountain.

We all get knock down in life. Encouragement lifted our spirit.
