But again, this is not a list of rules; we are not reading an impossible standard__o. This describes our Jesus. This! This is our Abba. This is our Holy Spirit. He never gives up, and he takes pleasure in the flowering of truth. And when we are following in the ways of Jesus, when we are abiding in the Vine, these become our characteristics, and we become signposts, tastes, movements of the Kingdom to the North, a glimpse of true Love.

A Christian when opts to beg emotionally to others, disappoints the Almighty God in atleast 3 ways:1. By Denying the Power of God to Provide for their lives (2 Timothy 3:5, Titus 1:16)2. By still being Immature to handle Life's crisis (1 Corinthians 13:11, James 1:2-4)3. By setting a poor example of Faith and Trust on God (Psalm 78:40-42, Psalms 34:8,9)The difference between Emotional pleading and asking a Fellow christian to Pray is that Former belittles our God who Provides (Jehovah Jireh) while the Latter Glorifies our God Who is Enough (El Shaddai).- Santosh Thankachan

In every possible instance Saint Paul begged Christians to restrain themselves to contain their carnal yearnings to live solitary and sexless lives on earth as it is in heaven. "But if they cannot contain " Paul finally conceded then "let them marry for it is better to marry than to burn." Which is perhaps the most begrudging endorsement of matrimony in human history.

You will never overcome your self righteousness if you continue to believe that God prefers you over other people. The moment you feel entitled is the moment you feel superior and distance yourself from a humble heart that believes God knows what he is doing.

The horizon changes but the sun does not.

Too often we assume that God has increased our income to increase our standard of living, when his stated purpose is to increase our standard of giving. (Look again at 2 Corinthians 8:14 and 9:11).
