A mind is a simulation that simulates itself.

Watson represents merely a step in the development of smart machines. Its answering prowess, so formidable on a winter afternoon in 2011, will no doubt seem quaint in a surprisingly short time.

At the laboratory, Turing designed the first relatively complete electronic stored-program digital computer for code breaking in 1945. Darwin deemed it too ambitious, however, and after several years Turing left in disgust. When the laboratory finally built his design in 1950, it was the fastest computer in the world and, astonishingly, had the memory capacity of an early Macintosh built three decades later.

I hope the _ld of computer science never loses its sense of fun. ... What you know about computing other people will learn. Don__ feel as if the key to successful computing is only in your hands. What__ in your hands I think and hope is intelligence: the ability to see the machine as more than when you were _st led up to it, that you can make it more.

The Beetle__ body, whether it be a _49 split or a _73 Jeans Bug, or an _03 Mexican, was originally conceived in the mid 1930__. This is evident in it__ body styling which aside from it__ rear engine layout and absence of front radiator (or radiator!) grille, is very similar to other cars of the same period. Believe it or not, in those days streamlining was a hot new concept, kind of like how wireless networking is today with computing.The only problem was, in the beginning they didn__ seem to realize that streamlining ought to be applied sideways as well as longitudinally!

The digital revolution is far more significant than the invention of writing or even of printing.
