Be the compassionate observer. No labels, just unconditional compassion. Fun times pass, tough times pass. Compassion will be eternal.

Have you ever stopped to think that maybe you were wrong? Maybe, you only saw your point of view and you never once put yourself in the other person's shoes. Maybe, walking away from the senseless drama and spiteful criticism isn't the best thing to do. Maybe, for just once in your life you could wear another person's confusion, pain or misunderstanding. Maybe, your future doesn't require explaining yourself or offering an explanation for your indifference, but your character and reputation does. What if one day you find out that you didn't have all the information you thought you did? What if you find out that your presence was needed for healing? What if you only knew half of it and the other half was just your fear and anger translating everything you experienced? What if you were wrong? What if the same thing happened to you?

In my view, compassion takes empathy to another level. With compassion, there is an internal calling to move empathy into action. Compassion is love in action.

To help people, love them. Then, they help themselves.

How much of assumed national and personal character comes from the fact that we have never truly known need to the point of having our character tested? Willing conscientious objectors underwent controlled starvation and confirmed how quickly it impacts the initiative and generosity we like to think of as "American" characteristics.

I wish the hearts of human beings pumped with kind desires.I wish every gaze landed on the eyes of others compassionately.I wish hatred, envy, and vengeance were alien concepts to humankind.I wish the precious worth of every soul was universally understood.

Part of me felt deep compassion. And another part felt like, You fucker.

Even suffering when wrapped in love, seems tolerable.

It is only when you suffer that you truly understand.

So if we love someone, we should train in being able to listen. By listening with calm and understanding, we can ease the suffering of another person.

Depression can seem absurdly self aggrandizing to those who do not experience it, But that does not make it any less painful to those who do.

_ompassion without action is meaningless.

It is not rubbish! It is the part of people that you do not understand.

At a distance, we see a need and ignore it. We judge it, condemn it, forget it. We don't think about it, because if we practice ignorance long enough, we don't notice the need anymore. It goes underground, and we're content with the surface of life as we know it - unwilling to break deeper ground. If all appears to be well on the outside, that is good enough for our consciences....If we are willing to dig deep, to find Calcutta in our own backyards, we will find the poor. But we will also find God. And He may just open our eyes, so that we can see the need and not soon forget. So that we can hear their cries and not grow deaf. So that we can smell the stench of human need and awaken our hearts to compassion.

Sadly, we live in a world where if you do good things, there are no financial rewards. If you poison the earth, there is a fortune to be made.

It is infinitely better to rely on the pursuit of economic interest by landowners or street companies than to depend on the dubious __ltruism_ of bureaucrats and government officials.
