If sacrifice is not the theme of my life, there__ no sense telling the story.

If the baser instinct of rampant self-preservation adamantly refuses to surrender itself to the infinitely greater call of self-sacrifice, in attempting to save our lives we will have in reality completely destroyed our lives.

Diligence is God__ principle

The believer alone will be able to hear the call. It comes from beyond ourselves, beyond our society, beyond the climate of opinion and prejudice and rebellion and skepticism in which we live, and beyond our time and taste. It draws toward the center of all things, that still place of which T.S. Eliot wrote : Against the Word the unstilled world still whirledAbout the centre of the silent Word.

From the moment of your birth, you have a calling

God did not direct His call to Isaiah_ Isaiah overheard God saying, ". . . who will go for Us?" The call of God is not just for a select few but for everyone. Whether I hear God__ call or not depends on the condition of my ears, and exactly what I hear depends upon my spiritual attitude.

The reason my life has wandered to nowhere is likely due to the fact that the focus of the moment has dictated the destination of my life, when the destination of my life should have been dictating the focus of the moment.

You can't fulfill your calling inside your comfort zone.

To my own demise, I rarely ask why I__ hungry because I__ focusing all of my energies on getting fed. And if I persist in such a diminishing cycle, in all probability I will eventually starve to death because I have chosen to gorge myself on the very things that will keep me empty.

God created you for His high purpose, discovering and understanding that that purpose is important

If God gives you something you can do, why in God's name wouldn't you do it?

You are responsible for your calling and you must give account

...we find our vocations not by focusing on ourselves, but by focusing on others.

Some might ask whether the path is before us or within us. The answer is: Yes. We are both driven from within by our resident spirit and something outside calls forth the genius within us.

God wants you to start doing something now. Begin with the little things you have the ability to do and He will help you

Who is She? She is your power, your Feminine source. Big Mama. The Goddess. The Great Mystery. The web-weaver. The life force. The first time, the twentieth time you may not recognize her. Or pretend not to hear. As she fills your body with ripples of terror and delight.But when she calls you will know you__e been called. Then it is up to you to decide if you will answer.

The hardest calling in our lives is to be truly ourselves.

No one can fulfill the calling to extend the reign of love alone
