It is everything that makes a man. It is everything that makes this man. And that is who I am alive, and that is who I am dead.

But what were you supposed to do with that weight? Once it was on you? Just be a man? Just suck it up? Maybe you were. Maybe that was the real test. Maybe that is exactly the thing that made you a man: the ability to function with the worst possible secrets in your brain. Which was why so many grown-up men seemed so ridiculous. They never felt that responsibility. They were untested, unproven; they were boys in grown-up clothes.

Courage can't exist without action. Anything else is a lion without his roar.

A man enrich his community. A man teach and display leadership qualities for his children. A man by his presence is safety and security for his Queen. The best the thing a man can do for this world, his children and Queen is be a man.

A good man lives for the joy in life and the happiness of being alive, not shackled to the wants of the future or the regrets of the past.

I'm supposed to be a man but I can't help thinking no one ever showed me what that is supposed to look like. Maybe that is why I ride the middle all the time__ever offending anyone, never getting a hard time, but never much standing out either.
