People think that fun in Christ is non-existent, but there is fun wherever your heart lives.

Resignation requires will, and will requires decision, and decision requires belief, and belief requires that there is something to believe in!

A big sacrifice is coming, and you won't have the courage to make it. That will cost you dearly. It will cost the world dearly.

Nay, in many cases open denials of prayer prove the most excellent answers, and God's not hearing us is the most signal audience. Therefore at the foot of every prayer subscribe "thy will be done," and thou shalt enjoy preventing mercies that thou never soughtest, and converting mercies to change all for the best, resting confident in this, that having asked according to his will he heareth thee.

God's relationship with man does not work in a way in which man stumbles and then God has to drop what he is doing in order to lift him up; rather, man stumbles so that God can lift him up. Hence it is utterly impossible to truly diminish his glory.

Until the will and the affections are brought under the authority of Christ, we have not begun to understand, let alone accept, His Lordship. The Cross, as it enters the love life, will reveal the heart__ truth.

Think of the self that God has given as an acorn. It is a marvelous little thing, a perfect shape, perfectly designed for its purpose, perfectly functional. Think of the grand glory of an oak tree. God__ intention when He made the acorn was the oak tree. His intention for us is __ the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ._ Many deaths must go into our reaching that measure, many letting-goes. When you look at the oak tree, you don__ feel that the loss_ of the acorn is a very great loss. The more you perceive God__ purpose in your life, the less terrible the losses seem.

Your will shall decide your destiny.

The mystery of human destiny is that we are fated, but that we have the freedom to fulfill or not fulfill our fate: realization of our fated destiny depends on us. While inhuman beings like the cockroach realize the entire cycle without going astray because they make no choices.
