Unconditional war can no longer lead to unconditional victory. It can no longer serve to settle disputes... can no longer be of concern to great powers alone.

The idea that a war can be won by standing on the defensive and waiting for the enemy to attack is a dangerous fallacy, which owes its inception to the desire to evade the price of victory.

In the first six to twelve months of a war with the United States and Great Britain I will run wild and win victory upon victory. But then, if the war continues after that, I have no expectation of success.

Thus they have an idol that they petition for victory in war; another for success in their labors; and so for everything in which they seek or desire prosperity, they have their idols, which they honor and serve.

Victories that are cheap are cheap. Those only are worth having which come as the result of hard fighting.

Never do a single thing in the anticipation to prove something to someone who has hurt you. If someone has hurt or offended you (whoever that person may be), never perform anything or strive for anything in your life with the mind of proving something to that someone/ to those people. May nothing that you do be done with any thought of them in mind. There is nothing that needs to be proven.

You win the victory when you yield to friends.

If the tenacity of flowing water weakens the structure of a solid rock, what more; if the ordinary visionaries become just as tenacious.

We see that every victory in our life depends on our faith

We need to grow from faith to faith so that we can have victory over the world

Only the people who are working the victory by faith will experience the joy of harvest
