Most people would rather eat inside a windowless room in which they have just defecated than eat inside one in which someone else has just farted, even if the room does not have a toilet.

Which of us is happy in this world? Which of us has his desire? or, having it, is satisfied?

Nobody sees anybody truly but all through the flaws of their own egos. That is the way we all see ...each other in life. Vanity, fear, desire, competition-- all such distortions within our own egos-- condition our vision of those in relation to us. Add to those distortions to our own egos the corresponding distortions in the egos of others, and you see how cloudy the glass must become through which we look at each other. That's how it is in all living relationships except when there is that rare case of two people who love intensely enough to burn through all those layers of opacity and see each other's naked hearts.

Vanity does not pay the bills.

It__ the moment when something happens not just deep among the trees but also in the dark interior of the human heart, for the heart, too, has its night and its wild surges, as strong an instinct for the hunt as a wolf or a stag. The human night is filled with the crouching forms of dreams, desires, vanities, self-interest, mad love, envy, and the thirst for revenge, as the desert night conceals the puma, the hawk and the jackal.

The middle class were invented to give the poor hope; the poor, to make the rich feel special; the rich, to humble the middle class.

The world is full of vanities

No one was created in vain

Nothing should be so greatly feared as empty fame.

When the world shifts its focus on heart over mind, we will finally experience a beautiful global village for our children.

Beauty is not who you are on the outside, it is the wisdom and time you gave away to save another struggling soul like you.

You must intercept the passing time well, hence it will fly away into vanity.

Do not live for emptiness, do not waste your evaporating life pursuing the vanities of life.

To allow your time evaporate each day without a product to show for it is to allow your life evaporate into vanity.
