You cannot simply read the Quran,not if you take it seriously.You either have surrendered to it already or you fight it.It attacks tenaciously,directly,personally; it debates,criticizes,shames and challenges.From the outset it draws the line of battle, and I was on other side.

You will achieve what you want to achieve, only if you can cope with the theory of altruism.

You'll be ready for this change - when you're ready _ not a moment before. Don't beat yourself up if you're not ready.

...and awakening, at that moment, to the thrilling prospect of complete surrender, not just of one__ lips but of one__ entire body to a lover__ mercy, we recognized that the gap between compassion and surrender is love__ darkest, deepest region.

Surrendering to the best of my abilities when the price of life has outweighed its benefit may be a compassionate choice for me and those around me.

From imperial, economic and ideological causes, many cultures are the inheritors, and hence the prisoners, of attitudes of scorn and disdain for other faiths _ outlooks which are not ennobling to anyone.

The word surrender has some shadowy connotations. We think it__ weak to surrender, but sometimes it__ the bravest thing we can possibly do. It means to give our will over to another . . . and when that other is Christ, we are surrendering our pride, our self-reliance, our will to do things our way. We trust Him more than we trust ourselves. The origin of the word surrender did not mean to give up, but to give over. We give our will over to God, let Him do what He will with it, and in the process we lose nothing, but gain much.

I would like to say that I had all kinds of great ideas about what I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it. I would like to say my ministry was born out of a carefully thought-out plan. These things simply aren't true, though. I was walking through life one moment at a time, blown away by what God could do through me if I simply said yes.

It all starts with you, and that which never starts, also finishes with you.

Adversity kills fearful people just by showing them its weapons. As to whether that weapon is fatal or fake, they don't care to know before they surrender!

You owe it to yourself, to refuse to surrender to obstacles that are meant to stop you from reaching far in your endeavours. Be determined that you will never be a captive of your environment.
