stupidity

People's behaviors are messages, not a diagnosis because I can no longer discern the world's version of insanity.

And the German society of eighty million people had been shielded against reality and factuality by exactly the same means, the same self-deception, lies, and stupidity that had now become engrained in Eichmann's mentality. These lies changed from year to year, and they frequently contradicted each other; moreover, they were not necessarily the same for the various branches of the Party hierarchy or the people at large. But the practice of self-deception had become so common, almost a moral prerequisite for survival, that even now, eighteen years after the collapse of the Nazi regime, when most of the specific content of its lies has been forgotten, it is sometimes difficult not to believe that mendacity has become an integral part of the German national character.

First, however, I must deal with the matter of Jesus, the so-called savior, who not long ago taught new doctrines and was thought to be a son of God. This savior, I shall attempt to show, deceived many and caused them to accept a form of belief harmful to the well-being of mankind. Taking its root in the lower classes, the religion continues to spread among the vulgar: nay, one can even say it spreads because of its vulgarity and the illiteracy of its adherents. And while there are a few moderate, reasonable, and intelligent people who interpret its beliefs allegorically, yet it thrives in its purer form among the ignorant.

The world demands I make good choices on no information, and then blames my maidenhood for my mistakes, as if my maidenhood were responsible for my ignorance. Ignorance is not stupidity, but it might as well be. And I do not like feeling stupid.

stupidity: a process, not a state. A human being takes in far more information than he or she can put out. __tupidity_ is a process or strategy by which a human, in response to social denigration of the information she or he puts out, commits him or herself to taking in no more information than she or he can put out. (Not to be confused with ignorance, or lack of data.) Since such a situation is impossible to achieve because of the nature of mind/perception itself in its relation to the functioning body, a continuing downward spiral of functionality and/or informative dissemination results,_ and he understood why! __he process, however, can be reversed,_ the voice continued, __t any time.

I hate stupidity, but what I hate even more is when people actually brag about it.

You can only manage to convince a person to admit to being wrong, not ignorant, arrogant, or stupid.

Dramatic uprising of stupidity can start from nowhere and only be seen when it reaches it's climax.

Vigilance of the wisest kind is to incessantly remain open to the reality that what I __ee_ is but a single thread and solitary shard of what __s_, for to assume otherwise is to surrender the wisdom of vigilance to the decay of ignorance.
