Some nonreligious people are disgruntled by the word "faith," feeling that it has no connection to them. But we all have faith. Broadly speaking, "faith" does not apply only to belief in the supernatural. We have faith in our life, for example, believing we will live to see tomorrow, or in our health, believing we have years of healthy life ahead of us. Husbands and wives, parents and children have faith in one another.

If it wasn__ for all those silver wings spread out to help you on your journey, you would__ been dead or someplace screamin_ in a nut house a long time ago.

Grace is waiting for you. It__ always there. It__ always waiting. It doesn__ pokes holes into our lives. We are the ones who poke the holes and let the light in, let the magic in. But there__ no rush. There are no deadlines. There__ comfort in staying in our cocoons. Only when we lose that comfort and feel overwhelmed do we feel forced to reach up for something greater. Or, we simply feel the calling for more. Either way, we start living on God__ timetable and awaken to the beautiful mystery, and the things we had clinged to the most fade into pale substitutes.

The conscious attempt to be a good person without Christ is as legalistic as an attempt to make it into Heaven through empty religiosity.

We are saved by grace.

What is it about the Heavens that draws us to look up? For generations, centuries, (millennia?) it seems we are drawn to look up for answers, comfort in times of despair, with pleas for help, when we are in need of grace, and to give thanks.

We ought to seek daily grace. The sacred-spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.

You will face many troubles. But the Lord will deliver you each time.

There is grace for survival in any situation.
