Do you feel that? It is a calm shift in the wind. Do you hear that? It is a soft whisper of hope. Do you see that? It is the divine hand of guidance, mercifully extended to aid our good fight.

Years ago, a group of good, wise, brave, God-fearing men stood up to claim and defend the human right for independence. Those men are now dead. Their work is not. If good, wise, brave, God-fearing men fail to stand up in their stead, that independence will cease to exist.

The only thing you can justifiably claim that life owes you is an equal measure of what you have given out. And even that is debatable.

The key to valuing something is to lose it and then realize how rare it was__fter which you pray like mad to regain what you foolishly lost. The value of an item often depends upon how hard it is to attain.

You think I read your thoughts, but it's your eyes that speak to me. When they glisten with moisture, I see a depth of emotion stirring behind them. One tearful glance begs me for a reassuring embrace. When your gaze glazes over like a misty morning, I know I've lost you to personal cares. A sharp, narrow look will keep me at bay while a wink and twinkle and the flirty flutter of your dark eyelashes invite my company. The strength and duration of a stare gives your feelings towards me away. And when those wary eyes dart to avoid my notice, all of your hidden secrets are betrayed.

It isn__ so much life__ problems that challenge us but the emotional turbulence stirred up while trying to deal with them. People possessing the gift of emotional detachment are lucky in that their personal problems seem far less problematic.

Mr. Cat and Mr. Dog were neighbors who fought like, well, cats and dogs. That is until Mr. Rat moved in. It's fascinating how easily two enemies ally at the introduction of a third.

It is human nature to try hardest to accomplish the very thing we are told is impossible. _Why? _Because innately we know that nothing's impossible.

The direction you choose to face determines whether you're standing at the end or the beginning of a road.

When thunderstorms roll in, you make a choice to either succumb with tears to the gloomy downpour, or smile and look for rainbows.

Be good.See good.Choose good.It's a no-brainer.

It turns out the simplest choices have been far more important in the long run than I ever imagined.

Before you take that first curious, coerced, spiteful, or vengeful step forward, remember this: it__ a thousand times easier to slip into a muddy pit than it is to climb out of one.

Temptations don't appear nearly as harmful as the roads they lead you down.

People will insist on building high and wide barriers directly in your path, often with the intent of closing you in. If you treat these obstacles like fencing walls, they will prove mightily so. I choose to see them as grand towers meant to be scaled and conquered, providing an added victory as well as a great view of the journey ahead.

Have you ever stopped to ponder the amount of blood spilt, the volume of tears shed, the degree of pain and anguish endured, the number of noble men and women lost in battle so that we as individuals might have a say in governing our country? _Honor the lives sacrificed for your freedoms. Vote.
