Pride and ego makes a mockery of an apology. Humility wins forgiveness without question...so break 'yo'self'!

Pride and entitlement always go with unforgiveness. The longer you hold someone's offense over them, the more likely you are to start feeling arrogant and entitled to your posture toward him.

People that hold onto hate for so long do so because they want to avoid dealing with their pain. They falsely believe if they forgive they are letting their enemy believe they are a doormat. What they don__ understand is hatred can__ be isolated or turned off. It manifests in their health, choices and belief systems. Their values and religious beliefs make adjustments to justify their negative emotions. Not unlike malware infesting a hard drive, their spirit slowly becomes corrupted and they make choices that don__ make logical sense to others. Hatred left unaddressed will crash a person__ spirit. The only thing he or she can do is to reboot, by fixing him or herself, not others. This might require installing a firewall of boundaries or parental controls on their emotions. Regardless of the approach, we are all connected on this "network of life" and each of us is responsible for cleaning up our spiritual registry.

There is, however, a far more common ailment among us__nd that is pride from the bottom looking up. It is manifest in so many ways, such as faultfinding, gossiping, backbiting, and murmuring, living beyond our means, envying, coveting, withholding gratitude and praise that might lift another, and being unforgiving and jealous.

It had been well if he had been left with only a wounded heart, but in that heart lay wounded pride. He hid it carefully, and the keener in consequence grew the sensitiveness, almost feminine, which no stranger could have suspected beneath the manner he wore. And hand in hand with Sense-of-injury walks ever the weak sister-demon Self-pity, so dear, so sweet to many--both of them the children of Philautos, not of Agape.

...a guilty suffering spirit is more open to grace than an apathetic or smug soul. Therefore, an age without a sense of sin, in which people are not even sorry for not being sorry for their sins, is in a serious predicament. Likewise an age with a Christianity so eager to forgive that it denies the need for forgiveness. For such an age, therefore, Lent can scarcely be too long!

I could easily forgive his pride, if he had not mortified mine.

Fear cannot capture us, criticism cannot harm us, and pride cannot make us fall.

Anger-pride-deceit-greed are in the form of __ischarge_. But if one does not have __nowledge of True Self_ (realization of the self), then he __harges_ new karmas within.

One_ is not a doer in this world. Where he believes that he is the doer, there is __harging_ (of karma). When one tastes egoistic pride of, __ did this samayik, I did these activities_, he will __harge_ (karma). The taste of egoistic pride is very sweet.

The one who has developed a habit of taking a lot of respect from others [relish pride], will get cheated.

Good...if you've done things you aren't proud of. It means you have a conscience.

Why do women waste their time trying to convince their insecure family members and girlfriends that they are beautiful? Self esteem is not a beauty cream that you can rub all over them and see instant results. Instead, convince them they are not stupid. Every intelligent woman knows outward beauty is a nip, tuck, chemical peel or diet away. If you don't like it, fix it.

Even the richest of brands are robbed by poor character.

Never, ever, trust a man who is willing to die in glory but is unable to live with pride.

Seek out your superiors and learn from them. Do not hide nor shy away from them for the sake of your pride for true pride is perceived, not in perceived skill, but in improvement.

We are like the moon. The moon shines anyway, but it does not produce its own light. It reflects the light illuminated onto its surface by the Sun and is never proud to say "I am the source of light". God shines through us, hence He deserves the glory; not us.
