This was the picture of democracy I soon discovered on my arrival in the United States. Fundamentally there have been few changes since that time.

What is the good of telling a community that it has every liberty except the liberty to make laws? The liberty to make laws is what constitutes a free people.

The Supreme Court of the United States is no longer a court of law. It is a forum of legal fad and fashion.
