I examined the poets, and I look on them as people whose talent overawes both themselves and others, people who present themselves as wise men and are taken as such, when they are nothing of the sort.From poets, I moved to artists. No one was more ignorant about the arts than I; no one was more convinced that artists possessed really beautiful secrets. However, I noticed that their condition was no better than that of the poets and that both of them have the same misconceptions. Because the most skillful among them excel in their specialty, they look upon themselves as the wisest of men. In my eyes, this presumption completely tarnished their knowledge. As a result, putting myself in the place of the oracle and asking myself what I would prefer to be _ what I was or what they were, to know what they have learned or to know that I know nothing _ I replied to myself and to the god: I wish to remain who I am.We do not know _ neither the sophists, nor the orators, nor the artists, nor I_ what the True, the Good, and the Beautiful are. But there is this difference between us: although these people know nothing, they all believe they know something; whereas, I, if I know nothing, at least have no doubts about it. As a result, all this superiority in wisdom which the oracle has attributed to me reduces itself to the single point that I am strongly convinced that I am ignorant of what I do not know.

Glory of the world makes life meaningless. Glory of God fulfills it.

When Man realizes his littleness, his greatness can appear. But not before.

Pain is inevitable, yet suffering is optional. It is our heart connections that make all the difference. When we experience mental, physical, emotional, or spiritual pain _ love is the one medicine that transcends any synthetic or organic drug we use to suppress pain.

To worship means to go higher. If you join the one who has gone higher, you will go higher and if you speak ill of that person, you will fall down.

Though sometimes you must have an unstoppable courage, it must be with a well defined humility for purposeful living! Humility is not just good for our lives; it also greatly saves our lives, integrity and true purpose! Don__ just think you are on top of the world just because you stand on the tallest building. When the building collapses, you may be far worse than they that walk besides the building who can run away upon seeing it collapsing!

We are a culture that relies on technology over community, a society in which spoken and written words are cheap, easy to come by, and excessive. Our culture says anything goes; fear of God is almost unheard of. We are slow to listen, quick to speak, and quick to become angry.

If we glorify God (not self) in everything we do then everything on earth will glorify God.

Yesterday I was clever, so I took the glory for me. Today He makes me wise, so I give the glory to Thee

Whatever we have in the glory of man is "away". Those are just not enough before we go "home" to the glory of God.

Big things in the glory of the world mean nothing. Small things in glory of God mean everything. Truly..., size doesn't matter in this world or in the world to come.

Sweet wine makes drunk, sour wine (insult) is "tetelestai". Life is not about what we have done and become, but how God to be fully glorified.
