Compassion for humanity begins with compassion and respect for all beings.

We cannot 100 percent know the depth of another person__ heart. We cannot know the whys and whats of his soul.This idea could be sad, but it doesn__ have to be. Instead of rendering human beings powerless, it could render them more compassionate. Knowing that the stranger who just bumped you in the hall or that the awkward loner who sits behind you in class each have a story, makes it easier to chose kindness _ again, again, and again.

To label someone as selfless is symptomatic of having bought the preposterous claim that a human being can have great concern for other human beings and little concern for themselves, or that, when taken to extremes, a human being can have great concern for other human beings and absolutely no concern for themselves.

May we find more grace to do good deeds.

Every single good person is a good person for their own sake, not for the sake of humanity, not even for the sake of another human being.

Even if it's very late at night. Someone's always awake in the world. But of all those things you could think up for people to be doing, I think going hungry would have to be your safest bet. Going hungry, pushing each other around, leaving bombs, breaking promises, leaving nothing. It happens far away all the time. But sometimes near. We're almost two kinds of people. Some of us see it on the evening news or read about it in the morning paper. And some of us get hurt. But, you know we all get hurt. Because even if you live in a very nice house like I do, sooner or later the lies and the fires have got to burn you.

It is humanly impossible to be selfless. As a matter of fact, human beings are inherently selfish.

If humans are kind to each other, if really humanity do exist, the world would have been a better place and we wouldn__ need to fight so much for innocent lives. This would have made our struggles easier. As I get involved more and more in protecting innocent lives my faith in Humanity fades away. What a world we live in? Can we have faith in humanity? We humans are here to protect others, but we are the very reason that their lives are in danger. How long can we fight for the week, for the voiceless? The future is so dark!!!

The greatest thing a human being can do is to be compassionate to humanity.

As a human race, we lost and we are still losing a lot of humanity in the process of progress

All such desires are cut short by the statement: the Word became flesh. It is in his sheer humanity that he is the Revealer. True, his own also see his δ_ξα (v.14b); indeed if it were not to be seen, there would be no grounds for speaking of revelation. But this is the paradox which runs through the whole gospel: the δ_ξα is not to be seen alongside the _ά_ξ as through a window; it is to be seen in the _ά_ξ and nowhere else. If man wishes to see the δ_ξα, then it is on the _ά_ξ that he must concentrate his attention, without allowing himself to fall victim to appearances. The revelation is present in a peculiar hiddenness.

The priest's work, the priest's service, was understood as an act of worship. This was God's desire at Sinai - that everybody would understand their roles as priests. Thst everybody would worship God by serving each other.

It is a grim job, this business of looking out over humanity.

Jesus is the answer to the longing of every human heart. The love of his heart is the only love capable of filling our human longing__ecause it is human, yet infinite, and because it is also divine. Not only does each individual need and desire this love, but the world, taken as a whole, needs it.

We must leave Christmas to be what it is, for to reduce it to the stuff of myth and whimsy is take the single and sole hope of a dying humanity and obliterate it. And I would contend that such an action is insanity of the greatest sort.
