I have a decision to go, but I am not sure to choose which other prison on the earth.

Every revolution starts with the aim to help the poor, but when the poor get it they forget who they were and become the new oppressors. The cycle goes on forever

People who taught me that no accident of birth--not being black or relatively poor, being from Baltimore or the Bronx or fatherless--would ever define or limit me. In other words, they helped me to discover what it means to be free...My only wish--and I know Wes feels the same--is that the boys (and girls) who come after us will know this freedom. It's up to us, all of us, to make a way for them.

While America will always, I think, feel foreign to me, New York City is my home. This is where I can construct my own identity freely and reject labels imposed on me.

There__ glory and honour in being chosen. But not much room for free will

But the Hebrew word, the word timshel___hou mayest__ that gives a choice. It might be the most important word in the world. That says the way is open. That throws it right back on a man. For if __hou mayest___t is also true that __hou mayest not.

Everyone who's born has a mysterious life path to follow. We must live to find that one reason to live

Even the juncture in history and the zeitgeist we live in is something we choose, setting the scene for the spiritual fodder we need to grow and achieve deeper elevation of our souls.

Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves.
