When we fail to reflect on the undercurrents of the circumstances of our life, we may have permanent misgivings about the quality of our interpretations. A lucid reading of our acts and our desires helps us to avoid tumbling into a frustrating gap between what we expect and what others expect. (__lors, tout a basculé_)

We got to see a Corsair ship up close _ all matt black, no markings, no lights _ and practically invisible out here in the dark! What a sight to behold! Most people don__ get to see those bastards up close. That is, for very long! Anyways, the ship was just floating there, no sign of life. Our hails weren__ being answered, and so we assumed the ship was dead in space. Captain Mulligan, gods-rest-his-soul, told me to form a boarding party of security and medics from the sickbay and that we were going over there. We weren__ a military ship, and we__e not Star Marines, so we were lightly armed and quite nervous. I mean, this wasn__ just some of my security section being called out to break up a fight at one of the bars on the promenade, this was serious life-and-death shit! So I said __kay_, and told my assistant supervisor, Lisa Garfner, to get them all together. Seven of us shifted over to the other ship with the transmatter (you still use those things, I take it?) not knowing what to expect. It could__e been anything_ and it was. It was crazy.

Life gives you what you expect, what you are prepared to put up with or can change.

In the past you may have bent backwards to please others, moulded yourself to suit their needs because you were too meek to stand up for your own self. You never thought of self love, your desire to grow and attain self fulfillment. Not anymore. You must be assertive, be firm and above all be loyal to yourself. If it doesn__ suit others, then so be it. They were never meant to be your fellow travelers, they were parasites who only wanted to use you, and having done that discard you when you had served their purpose. There was no __utuality_ about such relationship. Be loyal to yourself and to others who are on the same wave length as you.

There are two ways to avoid getting disappointed.Expect everything - or expect nothing.

Life is an experiment in which you may fail or succeed. Explore more, expect least.
