I want to be a woman who lives totally abandoned to the first commandment: to love my Lord, my God, with all my heart. I don__ want the reputation that I love God, I don__ want to write songs about loving God, I don__ want to talk about loving God. I want to actually love God. When I close my eyes, I want my heart to move. When I close my eyes and I look at Him, I want to feel alive on the inside. I want to look at Him with a fire in my heart and it__ real.

The more you believe, the more you doubt. The more you doubt, the more you ask questions. Knowing that questions left unanswered is the best proof for your belief.

The affliction in the flesh of soul is temporal compare to the eternal glory of the spirit.

To invoke Jesus' name is to place yourself in his presence, to open yourself to his power, his energy. The prayer of Jesus' name actually brings God closer, making him more present. He is always present in some way, since he knows and loves each one of us at every moment; but he is not present to those who do not pray as intimately as he is present to those who do. Prayers a difference; 'prayer changes things.' It may or may not change our external circumstances. (It does if God sees that that change is good for us; it does not if God sees that it is not.) but it always changes our relationship to God, which is infinitely more important than external circumstances, however pressing they may seem, because it is eternal but they are temporary, and because it is our very self but they are not.

Whoever loves God, pray for purity.

The Kingdom of God is a tricky concept, and I was always taught it referred to our heavenly reward for being good, which, now that I actually read the Bible for myself, makes very little sense. Others say that the Kingdom of God is another way of talking about the church, and still others say that it's the dream God has for the wholeness of the world, a dream being made true little by little among us right here, right now. My answer? All of the above.

God wants us to believe in something bigger and better than ourselves.

My first love is the heavenly Father.

The most purely free decision one can make__nd thus, the highest order of spirit on Earth__s believing in something without evidential knowledge.

Do not take the grace of God for granted.

The choice to believe is yours. It__ the only thing that truly is.

Oh God your love is so overwhelming!

God, please give us more grace!

Why do some persons 'find' God in a way that others do not? Why does God manifest His Presence to some and let multitudes of others struggle along in the half-light of imperfect Christian experience? Of course the will of God is the same for all. He has no favorites within His household. All He has ever done for any of His children He will do for all of His children. The difference lies not with God but with us.

We like to think we're in control but we never are.
