I can__ imagine what other people think cold turkey is like. It is fucking awful. On the scale of things, it__ better than having your leg blown off in the trenches. It__ better than starving to death. But you don__ want to go there. The whole body just sort of turns itself inside out and rejects itself for three days. You know in three days it__ going to calm down. It__ going to be the longest three days you__e spent in your life, and you wonder why you__e doing this to yourself when you could be living a perfectly normal fucking rich rock star life. And there you are puking and climbing walls. Why do you do that to yourself? I don__ know. I still don__ know. Your skin crawling, your guts churning, you can__ stop your limbs from jerking and moving about, and you__e throwing up and shitting at the same time, and shit__ coming out your nose and your eyes, and the first time that happens for real, that__ when a reasonable man says, ____ hooked._ But even that doesn__ stop a reasonable man from going back on it.

I've never had inner turmoil about all this. You find a lot of people these days who cannot stand to be alone. You could lock me up in solitary for weeks on end, and I'd keep myself amused.
