Biblical heroes were regular people who had to learn the same things you and I have to learn__o drive out fear by increasing their knowledge of God, to shift their focus from their present fear to the eternal God, to replace what they didn__ know about the future with what they did know about Him.

Spiritually, we have marginalized the Bible. We've trivialized marriage, and we've neutralized the church. America today is in great turmoil. It feels like the soul of our nation has been taken from us.

God has a habit of using people, their gifts, and their resources to carry out His plans. In fact, we were created to be God__ deputies, doing His work on earth.

In a world that contains tragedies, we must realize that they__e vastly outnumbered by blessings.

Peter suggests that we never forget one fact: 'That with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years is as one day.' Translation: God sets His watch to a time zone not accessible to us. Once again we need to remember that He is the one who created time, like everything else, and He uses it for His own purposes.I like the little story about the foolishness of quantifying God's timing. A little boy asked God, 'How long is a second in heaven?' God said, 'One million years.' The boy asked, 'How much is a penny in heaven?' God answered, 'One million dollars.' The boy said, 'Could I have a penny?' To which God answered, 'In just a second.

We fear God by honoring, reverencing, and cherishing Him. His greatness and majesty reduce us to an overpowering sense of awe that is not focused only on His wrath and judgment but also on His transcendent glory , which is like nothing else we can confront in this world. It leaves us all but speechless.

America has learned what our repressive and terrorist adversaries do not understand: that liberty without law is anarchy, liberty to defy law is rebellion, but liberty limited by law is the cornerstone of civilization.

Set a clear focus in your life , and fear will be crowded out. The more you fix your eyes on God__ purpose for you, the more you will overcome your fear.
